3 Living Nativity Pastoral Communication from Fr. Frank WORLD MISSION SUNDAY Beloved people of God, Each Liturgical Year, we the members of the one Body of Christ, the Church, take an active part in celebrating the World Mission Sunday and a special collection is forwarded to the Holy See, to support the life-giving presence of the Church among the poor and the marginalized in more than 1,111 mission dioceses across the globe. This Liturgical Year 2018, Mission Sunday was celebrated on the weekend of October 20 21, however, here at Most Holy Name, we decided to postpone the Mission Sunday collection in order to attend to the immediate need of the victims affected by Hurricane Michael. We shall instead have the World Mission Sunday collection the weekend of November What a wonderful way to live out the mission we have received from the Lord, sharing in those celebrations taking place in every home, parish, seminary, school and convent all over the world! Thank you for being partners in the missionary work of the Universal Church. Parish Family Dinner Save the date for a night of food, fun and fellowship on December 1, 2018 after the 4:30PM Mass. This is a multi-ministry sponsored event for the entire parish to come together to enjoy each others company and celebrate the coming of our Lord Jesus. Members of our parish family will be available after all of the Masses starting this weekend for you to sign up for this event. The parish will be providing the meat and drinks. When you sign up for the dinner, if you would like to bring a favorite dish, you can indicate that on the sign up sheet. More details will follow in future bulletins. This year we would like to present the Living Nativity for our parish community on December 23rd. We are looking for children and teens who would be interested in participating as actors, readers and singers. Invite any youth that you may know to help with this beautiful gift to our parish. We will begin rehearsals November 18th after the 11:30am Mass. Call the church office for more details. We also need adults who would like to assist with props, costumes and singing. All are welcome to bring their gifts to this event! Last Sunday on October 28, we welcomed Joaquin Calvillo Martinez as our newest member of Most Holy Name of Jesus Community through the Holy waters of Baptism.

There is power in numbers--we would like to share with all the women of Most Holy Name, the blessings that come from a group of like-minded people. If you sign up, it doesn t commit you to a once-a-month meeting. It means you will be part of a group of women who will help our small Church community when you can. You will be kept up-to-date on our parish functions, and you will receive blessings from our Prayer Warriors when needed. Thank you, ladies, for your support in baking to help raise money for our youth to attend the Right to Life March in Washington, D.C.! Every little bit helps them achieve their goal! Prayer Shawl Ministry: We have several women who are interested in re-starting this Ministry. We are looking for more to join them in this effort. A brochure is available in the Social Hall with the history and details of this Ministry.
